General Purpose:The Maintenance Technician is responsible for ensuring the upkeep and repair of buildings, grounds, and facility systems, keeping them in optimal condition. Key duties include performing general maintenance tasks such as basic plumbing, carpentry, electrical work, painting, and cleaning, as well as conducting routine and preventative maintenance. The technician will assist in the repair and maintenance of building systems and equipment, respond to emergency maintenance requests, and handle a variety of tasks as needed. The position requires the ability to work independently, follow instructions from supervisors, and use problem-solving skills to address issues. Additionally, the technician must be able to lift and carry materials and equipment, and work in diverse environments.
 
Employment Qualifications:
  • Valid Drivers License (REQUIRED)
  • Must be able to pull and back up a trailer safely 
  • Must be able to pass a fingerprint background check
  • Proven experience as a maintenance technician or similar role.
  • Strong knowledge of plumbing, electrical, and mechanical systems.
  • Ability to troubleshoot and solve maintenance issues independently.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to lift heavy objects and work in physically demanding conditions.
  • Basic computer skills for record-keeping and communication.
  • Ability to work independently and follow instructions

  • Knowledge of general maintenance tools and equipment

Education:
High school diploma or equivalent; additional technical certifications are a plus.

Experience:
1-2 years Maintenance Experience preferred

Salary Range:
$14 - $16 Per Hour – Depending on Experience 
 
Essential Functions:
  • Perform general maintenance tasks, including plumbing, electrical work, carpentry, and painting.
  • Conduct routine inspections and preventative maintenance on building systems and equipment to ensure optimal performance.
  • Respond promptly to emergency maintenance requests and resolve issues efficiently.
  • Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, and plumbing problems as needed.
  • Assist in the maintenance of building systems such as HVAC, lighting, and plumbing.
  • Ensure the cleanliness and safety of all work areas, including the maintenance of tools and equipment.
  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs, and inspections.
  • Assist with special projects or upgrades to building systems or infrastructure.
  • Communicate effectively with supervisors and other team members regarding maintenance needs and priorities.
  • Adhere to safety standards and regulations while performing all maintenance tasks.
 
Work Environment:
  • Indoor and outdoor work settings.
  • Exposure to varying temperatures and weather conditions.
  • Use of power tools and maintenance equipment.
 
Physical Requirements:
·         Ability to lift heavy objects
·         Ability to travel 
·         Daily standing for periods of several hours while executing various tasks.
·         Regular reaching, including over-head.
·         Regular keyboarding, filing, phone and computer use sitting at workstation.
Compensation: $14.00 - $16.00 per hour
